Good Results from Junior World Championships

This week, 3rd to 8th July 2006, the junior world championships were held in Lithuania. Conditions were reportedly very warm which made things difficult for all the competitors.

Current squaddie, Anne Edwards did well in her first world championships, the highlight probably being 36th on the Long course and first British woman. Anne also qualified for the Middle Distance 'A' final and came 47th.

Brilliant Results for Squaddies at British Championships

Congratulations to all of you who competed at the Britsh Championships near Midhurst on 1st April 2006. The squad now has two current British Champions - well done to Anne [W18L] and Alice [W18S]!!

Great results also from all the other SCOA squaddies: Kitty [4th, W18L], Susan [6th, W14A], Peter [8th, M14A], Tamsin [8th, W12A], Alex [15th, M14A], Alastair [16th, M14A], Martin [20th, M12A], Charlotte [21st, W16A] and Mike [36th, M16A]. In the most competitive event of the year, with the largest fields, these performances are excellent. Well done to you all.

Tom Bray M20 6th (middle); 1st (long)
Kitty Bray W18 12th (middle); 7th (long)
Daniel Fopma M16 4th (long)
