Project 55 – Strengthening Cross-Broder Capacity for Control and Detection of CBRN Substances

The overall objective of the project is the standardisation of legislative texts relating to CBRN security according to international standards on a regional way. Creation of a regional momentum to consider border security in a harmonious way.The project purpose in relation to Phase 1 “Strengthening the national CBRN legal framework” is the standardisation and adaptation, in each country, of legislative texts relating to CBRN and border security according to international standards and on a regional way.
The purpose related to Phase 2 “Provision of specialised and technical training to enhance CBRN preparedness and response capabilities for border security and cross border cooperation” is the provision of specialised and technical regional training to enhance CBRN preparedness and response capabilities for border personnel.

The project will be implemented to the benefit of the non-EU countries covered by the EU CBRN Centre of Excellence North Africa & Sahel namely Algeria, Burkina Faso, Mali, Mauritania, Morocco, Niger and Tunisia.
